Sitting in a court room, attending school events, and receiving texts are all situations a stepmom finds herself facing. She also has the joy of building her family and watching her children grow! The stepmom journey is full of opportunities to seek God and shout His praise. When I first became a stepmom I thought, what on earth does the Bible have to say for stepmoms? Oh my friend, God has so much wisdom and love prepared for you.  I wanted to share three verses that have spoken to me and can specifically encourage stepmoms.
Let’s start with Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” I just love this verse for stepmoms! We have so many questions on how we should act, what our family relationships are, where our future is going. This verse goes straight to the heart.Second, Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” You see it don’t you. You live in a blended family so I’m sure the word peacemakers jumps right out to you.  Store this treasure in your heart for those times of strife.
And finally, Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” So much goodness to apply to blended family life. Let it be our anthem to go to the Lord in prayer. It is a joy to share with you. I believe we are more than just stepmom sisters, we are sisters in Christ. Stepmom support is incredibly important to the health of a woman and her family. Christian stepmom support is a beautiful gift. Let’s pray for each other and bury the word of Jesus in our hearts.About Emily:Emily Jordan is crazy about her guys, husband Matt and stepson Stephen.
